Our Dad & Grandpa, we will miss you always xXx

In Loving Memory of John Birchwood, 1940 - 2024. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Rather than flowers we are collecting donations for Alder Hey Children's Charity Trust.

As Our Dad was in the toy trade and supported children's charities for most of his adult life, we feel this is appropriate. Our Dad lived within 2 miles of Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

John you really were a remarkable man who brought so much joy, laughter, and warmth into our family, and your absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. So I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you. Thank you for being not only my father in law but also a cherished friend whose company I always treasured. Thank you for being an amazing Grandpa and role model to Zac and for the endless adventures. The bond you shared and the memories you created will forever be etched in his heart. Thank you for your selflessness which knew no bounds, as you always put your family's needs above your own. From attending a Liverpool game, despite supporting Manchester United, to giving Zac a tour of Anfield, you went beyond your comfort zone to ensure that those you loved felt truly cherished. Thank you for the love and acceptance you extended to Lewis and Wil, welcoming them into our family as your own grandchildren. Thank you for shaping Richard into the man he is today. He shares your strength, wisdom, and unconditional love towards his family. I promise to look after him with the same care and devotion that you bestowed upon him, keeping your legacy alive in our thoughts and conversations. So from the bottom of my heart Thank you John.
